Terms of Service
Free Me South Africa (Pty) Ltd · Reg. 2025/384802/07 · Effective: 27 October 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Self-Exclusion.co.za. By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About This Platform
Self-Exclusion.co.za is operated by Free Me South Africa (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/384802/07 (“FMSA”). This platform facilitates statutory self-exclusion applications under Section 14(1) of the National Gambling Act 7 of 2004. FMSA acts as your authorised representative in submitting NGB Form 1/1 to the National Gambling Board and relevant Provincial Gambling Boards.
2. What FMSA Does and Does Not Do
FMSA provides: completion and submission of NGB Form 1/1 on your behalf; communication with the NGB and Provincial Gambling Boards; issuance of your FMSA Self-Exclusion Submission Certificate; and follow-up on your application status.
FMSA does not provide counselling, clinical advice, or legal advice. FMSA does not guarantee that any operator will immediately implement your exclusion. Your exclusion takes effect when the NGB registers your application on the National Register, not at the moment of submission.
3. Eligibility
To use this platform you must be a South African resident with a valid identity document, be at least 18 years of age, be acting voluntarily, and have legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.
4. Your Authorisation to FMSA
By signing the FMSA Proxy Consent and Authorisation Certificate, you appoint FMSA as your authorised representative for the sole purpose of submitting your self-exclusion application. This authorisation lapses upon submission to the NGB.
5. Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for ensuring all information you provide is accurate and truthful. Providing false information in connection with a statutory self-exclusion application may constitute an offence under the National Gambling Act.
6. Electronic Signature
Your electronic signature is applied in accordance with Section 13 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and has the same legal force as a handwritten signature.
7. Cost
This service is free of charge to the applicant. You will not be charged any fee at any point.
8. Revocation
Once your application has been submitted to the NGB, FMSA’s proxy authority lapses. Any request to revoke a submitted exclusion must be directed by you directly to the NGB.
9. Limitation of Liability
FMSA is not liable for any delay in the NGB’s processing of your application, any failure by an operator to implement your exclusion after NGB registration, or any loss arising from your continued gambling prior to NGB registration.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
